BATHING
-
We should be bathing the least amount as possible. We have a biome across our skin that works with us and protects us. We also have protective oils on our heads that should not be washed off often, but quick dunk showers are a great way to spiritually purify, ground, calm yourself, and prepare the body for yoga. And after contact with other people, it is important to do.

We do want to dunk ourselves in cool water. It stimulates cells to heal and protect your immune system. This is best for youthfulness and charging. The water should be 60-65 degrees. It is best to dunk your head first so heat doesn't go to the brain from cooling the body. You do not need to always wet the entire head, the area between the ears only will have similar benefits.

NEVER SHOWER IN TREATED CITY WATER. Make sure you minimally have a filter on your shower head and you can take it when you travel. When I travel, I will dump bottled water over my head in the tub, find an ocean or river, or go without.

Cold plunges are harmful and destructive unless you are overheated. I recommend going from heat or a sauna to a cold plunge or rotating them for wonderful healing effects, while wearing an insulated band to protect your organs, but the cold plunge alone at a low temperature and for long periods of time can be damaging. Again, a brief dip around 60-65 does has great purification and energy benefits.
